Subject: What a show!!!
I had been in the process of planning a trip to vegas to play some poker when I saw Further was playing there. That was good enough for me.

I had to go because I don't know how long Bob and Phil will be around. I went to my first Dead show in 1971 in Houston and saw two or three shows a year for about 15 years. I had seen Rat Dog and had a great time, but Bob and Phil back together...a must see.

And I was not disappointed. Beside the usual forgotten lyrics, this show was great. Phil's playing was top notch, but this was really Bob's show, and his voice was in top form.

Great music, great song selections...all around a fantastic night. The highlight for me was Stella Blue. So many mixed emotions..and such a reminder of how much I miss Jerry. But this was right on the money. It's always risky when you play a song like this that was Jerry's song, but I was moved by the performance. Thanks for playing it.

Now I just wish Further would play through Texas so I can go again...although it will be hard to top this show.

****The only real negative is getting into the Joint at the Hard Rock...body search and long delayed lines were a little too much. And I guess I'm getting to old for general admission...man those concrete floors are killers on an old mans feet.
